Yoga Philosophy Workshop
with Shane Coppage
One of our newest class offerings, an uplifting combination of Yin Yoga and review of essential yogic scriptures we call "Yoga and Philosophy" (weekly, Mondays at 7pm) will now be complemented by a monthly workshop reviewing the previous month's theme. Allowing for more casual discussion, questions, and at best, vague answers....
Acro-Jams
Final Fridays Downtown at 7:30pm
Anyone get in on the combination of Acrobatics, Yoga, and Thai Massage that makes up an Acro-Jam. Simple therapeutic techniques are a great place to learn fundamentals, which can easily lead practitioners toward some of the more visually impressive and high-flying fun. Be sure to sign the wavier!
This workshop provides a unique opportunity to relax deeply and to restore our overworked nervous system to a place of balance and better health. A restorative class is more about being than doing. Students are guided into simple, comfortable poses on the floor supported by props; including pillows, blocks, and blankets. The main focus of a restorative practice is to relax into the poses, allowing the props to support and assist in complete relaxation. Appropriate for all levels of experience.
Yoga Nidra
Guided by Jennifer Thompson
Saturday March 17th, 4-5:15pm Anderson Township
Sunday March 18th, 5:45-7pm Downtown
What is Yoga
Nidra? Yogic Dynamic Sleep. It is moving without concentration or effort into a
state between sleep and wakefulness. It is moving awareness with a
precise order and pace through the physical body, chakras, and subconscious
mind. This flow is accompanied by a subjective experience of relaxation. As
energy is "freed up", it is redirected for healing and rejuvenation
of over-taxed tissues, glands, and organs.
What to expect: brief intro, mild stretching, guided session of Yoga Nidra, gradual "waking", feedback, group discussion, Q&A
